Just a little honesty…

Honesty. It is the number one thing that I want from a guy.

Honesty. Just a seven letter word that means everything.

I just want complete honesty right off the bat.

In fact, I crave up-front,in-your-face, brutal honesty. Too much to ask for? I’m finding more and more that it seems to be too much to ask for  from any guy. What stops a guy from being honest and up-front with you? All I really want is for a guy to be honest with me from the start. Why do guys play such games?

Note to all guys:

  • If you’re not at all interested when a girl asks for your number, just say so. Don’t give said girl your number. Just say that you’re not interested. It won’t hurt our feelings (okay- well maybe temporarily), but in the long-run, we’ll appreciate your honesty. I would much prefer to know right away that you aren’t interested.
  • If you have a girlfriend, mention her. Don’t make us wonder whether or not you are single. It’s just not fair.
  • Stop being so nice if you’re not interested in us– and you can tell that we’re interested in you. Seriously, you can tell when a girl is interested in you. You know. You can see the signs. Don’t ignore them, and go on being so sweet. Admit that you have noticed the signs, and either say something or do something to let us know.
  • Let us know if you are purely interested in friendship. No need to make us wonder–we would rather know the truth, instead of spending time debating what you’re interested in (or not interested in) from us. Don’t lead us on– be honest.

And now for some humor…..

Hey! I saw your comment on Fitting It All In and just read your post…I totally agree. I’ve been in this position a couple of times, even once when I was in a 2 year relationship with a guy who was acting this way!

My theory is that they’re vague and dishonest and don’t respond quickly because THEY’RE trying to figure out what THEY want to do. This shouldn’t affect us girls, but unfortunately it does sometimes.

Good luck with whatever you’re dealing with! 🙂 Everything always turns out for the best!

Hey…thanks for the comment! It’s always good to hear someone who’s been in an similar place. It’s not really about a particular situation, but a number of experiences! You are definitely right, though- things do turn out for the best! I’m going to check out your blog now…. 🙂
