Happiness in the form of chocolate.
Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a huge fan of all things chocolate. I love desserts, and I firmly believe that it is okay to indugle on something delicious sometimes (afterall stressed is desserts spelled backwards! :))
The following dessert recipe is certainly one of my favorites. It’s delicious and rich and chocolatey, so I wanted to share it with all of you. I can’t take credit for this recipe, but you can find it and other great recipes here. It is not healthy, but it sure is tasty!
Ingredients
- 1 – 14.25 oz. package of chocolate cake mix (prepared)
- 1 – 3.9 oz. box chocolate instant pudding mix (prepared)
- 1 – 21 oz. can LUCKY LEAF Cherry Pie Filling
- 2 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed (Cool Whip)
Directions
- Prepare cake mix according to package directions in a 13×9 inch cake pan. Let cake cool in pan; remove from pan, cut into cubes.
- Prepare pudding mix according to package directions; chill at least 30 minutes.
- Place half of cake cubes in a 3-quart trifle bowl.
- Spoon half of the LUCKY LEAF Cherry Pie Filling over cake; spread 1 cup pudding over cherries, and top with half of whipped topping.
- Repeat layers.
- Cover and chill at least 8 hours.
